Position Overview:

The Financial Specialist role at River Run is integral to the seamless operation of our financial processes, reporting directly to the Controller. This position encompasses managing accounts receivable and payable, overseeing payroll functions, and facilitating client billing, while also addressing any inquiries related to invoicing and billing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily processing of check receipts and remote deposits.
  • Management of weekly and monthly client invoices along with credit memos.
  • Close monitoring of accounts receivable and proactive follow-up on overdue payments.
  • Collaboration with clients to resolve invoicing and billing inquiries.
  • Efficient handling of vendor bills and payments.
  • Oversight of positive pay information entry and management of ACH exceptions.
  • Processing of semi-monthly payroll and completion of year-end checklists.
  • Management of monthly employee expense reimbursements.
  • Preparation and distribution of monthly sales commission reports.
  • Filing of monthly Sales/Use Tax Reports.
  • Assistance with month-end closing activities as required.
  • Execution of monthly credit card and bank reconciliations for two entities.
  • Coordination of annual payroll audits with the insurance agency.
  • Execution of additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Familiarity with ConnectWise is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks.
  • Client-focused with outstanding communication abilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic office environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.

Transportation Requirements:

Candidates must possess a reliable vehicle, a valid driver's license, and appropriate vehicle insurance.

Physical Requirements:

This role may require occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds and regular lifting of 10 pounds. It also involves various manual tasks and the ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Reasonable accommodations will be provided for individuals with disabilities as necessary.
