Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Director to lead our Residential Recovery Services team at Mental Health Association - Western MA. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our GRIT program, Good Place Residential program, and Good Place Permanent Housing Supports program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and monitor services and treatment to ensure compliance with Association, Federal, and State policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with program contractual obligations and participate in preparation and process of program re-licensing and accreditation visits.
  • Maintain regular contact with Program Supervisors to ensure frequent and free exchange of information, advise, and assist in problem-solving.
  • Assess training needs of staff, coordinate training, and monitor attendance.
  • Evaluate, assess, and monitor performance of direct reports, conduct supervisory sessions, and performance evaluations.
  • Conduct weekly community house meetings and team meetings.
  • Maintain effective intra-agency communication with direct supervisor, Human Resources, Nursing, Fiscal, IT, Quality Improvement, Clinical departments, and APG.
  • Monitor transitions in and out of program (admissions, discharges, graduations).
  • Pursue activities to enhance personal and professional growth, attend workshops, and participate in internal and external committees.
  • Promote and integrate Agency mission, values, philosophy, and principles.
  • Provide administrative oversight of all staff and program documentation required by fiscal, human rights, and human resources departments.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation, respond to calls, advise staff accordingly, and document.
  • Maintain oversight of the overall facilities budget.
  • Oversee Program staffing to ensure compliance and adequate coverage.
  • Ensure smooth and timely communication between all disciplines involved with supporting a participant.
Requirements
  • Residential management experience is required.
  • Experience working in a community residential setting is strongly preferred.
  • Exposure or experience with individuals who have psychiatric disabilities and/or experience substance misuse is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with group facilitation is preferred.
  • Master's Degree is preferred, Bachelor's Degree is accepted with relevant experience.
