Job SummaryThe Pharmaceutical Technician will be responsible for preparing medications, screening prescriptions, and ensuring patients receive correctly filled medication orders. The role involves working under the supervision of a pharmacist, participating in performance improvement activities, and completing associated record keeping and charging tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare medications according to prescription instructions
- Screen prescriptions for accuracy and completeness
- Supply patients with correctly filled medication orders
- Perform storage, distribution, packaging, and labeling of drugs
- Complete associated record keeping and charging activities
- PREFERRED: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- PREFERRED: 2-4 years of Pharmacy experience
- PREFERRED: 2-4 years of Hospital pharmacy experience
- PTCB - Certified Pharmacy Tech
- PTSR - Pharmacy Tech State Registration
