Position Overview:
The Foster Care Recruitment Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing our foster care program by strategizing, implementing, and assessing recruitment and outreach initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Executing a comprehensive recruitment strategy for treatment foster parents, which encompasses planning, advertising, and attending recruitment events.
  • Managing the complete recruitment process, including application assessments, conducting background checks, and facilitating interviews.
  • Engaging with potential foster parents through various communication channels to provide detailed program information.
  • Creating and distributing effective recruitment advertisements across multiple platforms.
  • Developing innovative recruitment strategies to align with the needs of the Therapeutic Foster Care Program.
  • Identifying and leveraging recruitment opportunities through research and community networking.
  • Meeting with community partners to deliver educational sessions about our services.
  • Maintaining accurate records of outreach efforts and applicant inquiries.
  • Conducting in-home interviews with applicants and their families.
  • Evaluating applicants' suitability for foster care and ensuring compliance with documentation requirements.
  • Promoting community awareness regarding the needs of children in foster care.
  • Representing Denali Family Services at community events and job fairs.
  • Organizing appreciation events for Therapeutic Foster Parents.
  • Assisting in the compilation of program evaluation data.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and agency policies.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field, along with four years of experience in marketing, recruitment, or customer service. A combination of education and experience will also be accepted.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficient in recruitment strategies across diverse platforms.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to document events accurately.
  • Ability to work independently and creatively while fostering a welcoming environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and adaptable to new software.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to agency policies.

Physical Requirements:
This role may involve sedentary work as well as physical activities such as walking and lifting up to 25 lbs. Candidates should be able to communicate effectively in person and over the phone.

Work Environment:
The position is based in a community mental health center office, with responsibilities extending to schools and foster homes.
