Job Summary
The Manufacturing Manager will oversee daily production and quality operations for a team of 20 technicians, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality standards, and timely completion of orders. They will lead process improvements, equipment maintenance, and enforce safety protocols while collaborating across departments to meet company goals.
About the Role
- Supervise and lead a team of 20 technicians in daily production and quality operations.
- Ensure all products meet high-quality standards through rigorous quality control measures.
- Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer deadlines and efficiency goals.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Maintain equipment and oversee preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Enforce safety protocols and create a safe working environment for all team members.
- Collaborate with engineering and sales departments to align production with customer specifications.
- Monitor and evaluate technician performance, providing coaching and feedback for continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly to ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare reports on production metrics, performance, and improvement initiatives for upper management.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with several years of management experience.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role, ideally with a focus on precision components and managing production teams.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles, production processes, and lean manufacturing techniques.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration and conflict resolution.
- Proficiency in manufacturing software and tools, along with strong analytical skills to track performance metrics and drive improvements.
- Hands-on mentality with a proactive approach to problem-solving on the production floor, actively engaging with technicians to drive efficiency and address challenges in real time.
