About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology team on a per diem basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee appointments and manage client interactions throughout their visit.
  • Collaborate with DVMs in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
  • Process laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and fine needle aspirates.
  • Utilize imaging modalities for patient and procedural assessment.
  • Administer sedation and anesthesia, and monitor patients during recovery.
  • Provide empathetic and compassionate care to patients, advocating for their needs throughout their hospitalization.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure best practice care for all patients.
  • Administer chemotherapeutic agents and provide client education on oncology disease processes.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a veterinary hospital setting.
  • Comprehensive understanding and experience with anesthetic monitoring.
  • Proficiency in processing laboratory specimens and radiographic techniques.
  • RVT or VTS certification preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
