Spine Injury Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Athletic Trainer to join our team at Methodist Hospitals. As an Orthopedic Athletic Trainer, you will be responsible for treating athletic injuries and developing therapies to reduce pain and improve mobility.
Key Responsibilities- Prevention and Assessment: Perform the functions of prevention, assessment, treatment (including first aid), and reconditioning, as directed by a physician and as set forth by the NATA board of certification.
- Treatment and Rehabilitation: Develop treatment programs in accordance with findings of evaluations and goals established by the injury assessment or by the treating physician.
- Patient Care: Assess patient status in response to treatment and modify programs, as appropriate. Prepare patients for treatment and ensure comfort and safety.
- Documentation and Communication: Document injury status and rehabilitation. Communicate with and inform physicians and program managers of any necessary documentation or observable signs that need investigation.
- Program Development: Develop new business at school and club sports levels. Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with school/club administration, including the Athletic Director.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training is required. Master's degree in Athletic Training is preferred.
- Experience: 1 year of experience in athletic training is preferred.
- Licensure: Indiana Athletic Trainer License is required. Certified Athletic Trainer (BOC) and NATA Certified Athletic Trainer are also required.
- Certifications: Certified Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation is required.
