The West Virginia Department of Education is seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Custodian I/II. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment within educational facilities.

Work Schedule:
Evening Shift: 4:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of school premises.
- Operate various cleaning equipment including buffers, vacuums, and floor strippers.
- Follow safety protocols and demonstrate knowledge of custodial methods and procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks and assist in the operation of heating, cooling, and sewage systems.

Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  2. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  3. Understanding of custodial practices and safety standards.
  4. Ability to handle physical tasks and work from heights when necessary.
  5. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and skills for equipment operation.

Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to the School Principal and the Supervisor of Maintenance.

Contract Duration:
The role is contracted for a period of 210 days.
