About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist PRN to join our team at TriCities Hospital. As a vital part of our patient care team, you will provide high-quality respiratory care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
  • Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy.
  • Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
  • Monitor patients for therapeutic response and notify providers as necessary.
  • Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations.
Requirements
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 60 months of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 60 months of employment start date.
  • RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT/RCP) or State Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure.
  • Associate Degree or Vocational School Graduate.
