The Jewish Board of Children and Family Services is seeking a skilled Crisis Interventionist to join our team. As a Crisis Interventionist, you will work with children and families to address mental health crises and provide support to help them navigate challenging situations.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of New York City youth. As a Crisis Interventionist, you will work with children and families to address mental health crises and provide support to help them navigate challenging situations. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, provide crisis intervention and stabilization, and connect families with community resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete intakes with new clients, including risk assessments and psychosocial assessments
  • Work with clients and families to create safety plans
  • Develop and implement short-term service plans for clients
  • Conduct weekly visits with clients in the community
  • Provide crisis intervention and stabilization
  • Connect families with community resources

Requirements:

  • Licensed mental health provider (LCSW, LMFT, LP, LMHC, or LCAT) preferred
  • Master's degree in a related field or Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of experience in a related field
  • Valid NYS driver's license required
