Job Description:
E-Space is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Arlington, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design for X methodologies, automation, and process engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement 'Design for X' methodologies for new product development
  • Own the process from early prototype phase through high volume production
  • Leverage expertise in industrial process engineering to procure, design, validate, test, and operate an automated production system
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other subsystem engineers to provide DfX expertise to all product design teams
  • Manage characterization, qualification, and acceptance testing of in-house material, processes, and machine prototyping
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects to reduce first pass yield, cycle time, and cost
  • Provide technical support for analyzing and performing failure analysis for discrepant production components, assemblies, and field returns
  • Analyze product designs and existing manufacturing processes to identify risk and incorporate critical tests used in manufacturing
  • Support digital manufacturing initiatives by simulating production equipment digital twins and IIoT device integrations
  • Create process documentation and lead operator training of manufacturing equipment
  • Apply project management skills to execute projects in a timely and cost-effective manner

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
  • 3-7 years of relevant professional experience
  • Hands-on capability to safely operate various fabrication tools
  • Solid understanding of continuous improvement methodologies such as LEAN and Six Sigma
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
  • Previous experience managing a robotic or industrial automation on a factory production line
  • Familiarity with traceability and quality requirements as dictated by AS9100
