THIS IS A TRAVELING CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR POSITION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with the Project Engineer to manage the Expediting List, ensuring timely delivery of materials to align with project timelines, adhering to standard operating procedures.
- Oversee the sequencing of subcontractor activities while ensuring adherence to the overall project schedule. Conduct weekly meetings with subcontractors to review short-term schedules, quality management, and jobsite safety.
- Guide and direct supervisory staff and subcontractors in planning and executing work processes, interpreting project specifications, and coordinating various construction phases to mitigate delays.
- Secure and oversee all necessary permits, building certifications, and city inspections, becoming well-versed in local building enforcement protocols.
- Engage with General Superintendents, supervisory and engineering teams, inspectors, and material suppliers to address construction challenges and enhance construction methodologies.
- Implement and uphold the organization’s safety policies in accordance with standard operating procedures, fostering a culture of safety on-site.
- Conduct inspections of ongoing work to verify that workmanship and materials meet specifications and that construction schedules are being followed.
- Analyze Cost Reports and manage Back Charges in compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Prepare or review documentation regarding project progress, materials utilized, costs incurred, daily logs, billing sheets, and adjust work schedules based on these reports.
- Coordinate and approve all time and material expenses with various subcontractors, maintaining accurate daily records.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience supervising all aspects of ground-up commercial construction projects with a general contractor.
- Willingness to travel as required by business needs.
