Customer Service Representative

Job Summary:

As a Customer Service Representative at Universal 1 Credit Union, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members by answering their questions, resolving their issues, and promoting our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to members via phone, chat, and email.
  • Answer questions and resolve problems related to member accounts, services, and products.
  • Assist members with opening and closing accounts, ordering checks, and completing payroll deduction and authorization forms.
  • Direct members to relevant information and resources, and provide guidance on Credit Union services and policies.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, and perform file maintenance and account changes as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date on Credit Union services, products, and regulations, and promote them to members.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and maintain a positive member experience.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in a related field preferred.
  • Two years of customer service experience required; phone customer service experience preferred.
  • Financial experience and knowledge of Credit Union services, products, and regulations preferred.
  • Excellent public relations and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
  • Time management, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain an effective and efficient work flow.
