Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee and assist in the daily preparation of food items and ensure proper dating of products.
2. Coordinate the setup and breakdown of designated stations as instructed by management.
3. Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and guidelines.
4. Ensure accurate portion control during meal preparation and service.
5. Maintain daily temperature logs to ensure food safety.
6. Conduct quality checks on food items before serving to customers.
7. Notify management of any food items that do not meet quality standards.
8. Complete opening and closing checklists for workstations.
9. Welcome customers as they approach the serving line and inquire about their service experience, addressing any concerns with a positive attitude.
10. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including all equipment and surfaces.
11. Ensure all utensils and work areas are properly cleaned and sanitized.
12. Manage waste disposal from the service line effectively.
13. Transport supplies and equipment between storage and work areas as needed.
14. Participate in daily safety observations and report any hazards to management promptly.
15. Be flexible to cross-train in various areas as required.
16. Support catering and special events as directed by your supervisor.
17. Complete any additional tasks assigned by management.

Leadership Role

As a Lead Food Service Coordinator, you will guide and support team members to ensure efficient and timely service to our customers. You will also coordinate with utility staff for sanitation needs as necessary.

Qualifications

- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities.
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
- Serve Safe Certification is preferred.
- Capacity to follow detailed verbal and written instructions.
- Previous food service experience is advantageous.
- Must be able to lift and transport hot food items frequently.
- Ability to work in a kitchen setting, managing exposure to heat, noise, and cleaning chemicals.

Physical Demands

This position may involve physical activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
