Position Overview:

The Lead Coordinator, Global Supply Chain Operations plays a pivotal role in overseeing a substantial team engaged in supply chain activities. This position emphasizes the application of Lean Materials Management methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a significant group of employees within the supply chain sector.
  • Utilize SAP systems to monitor material flow and maintain updated inventory records.
  • Coordinate production and material requirements to align with operational schedules.
  • Facilitate the timely movement of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products.
  • Uphold safety standards and maintain a clean working environment.
  • Track and report on inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and production metrics.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members across various functions.
  • Adhere to local and national agreements.
  • Achieve budgetary cost objectives.
  • Implement quality assurance protocols and utilize relevant quality tools as needed.
  • Lead training, development, and performance evaluation of team members.
  • Conduct performance and disciplinary discussions as necessary.
  • Manage employee overtime scheduling in compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Associate Degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • APICS CPIM certification.

Experience:

Required:

  • Minimal supervisory experience.

Preferred:

  • Over one year of supervisory experience.
  • Experience in a warehouse setting.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.

Scope of Role:

  • First-level supervisory role responsible for daily oversight of the assigned team.
  • Supervises a group of hourly or support employees.
  • Regular interaction with leadership, peers, and direct reports within the same function.
  • Full-time supervisory responsibility for an assigned work group.
  • Directly impacts the daily operations of the assigned team.
