We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our Institutional Research and Effectiveness department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the achievement of services, goals, and objectives, and will serve as a liaison with all divisions to ensure day-to-day operations are handled appropriately.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the department of Institutional Research and Effectiveness
- Manage and oversee the financial/budget of the department
- Monitor activities of personnel to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Evaluate employees at scheduled intervals
- Conduct regular evaluation of department services and adjust as needed
- Coordinate daily workflow and handle complex departmental administrative issues
- Serve as representative of the State of Georgia or technical college in various internal and external meetings
- Responsible for designing and executing a plan for maintaining accreditation status for the college and academic programs
- Lead the college's compliance with the Principles of Accreditation for the SACSCOC reaffirmation, substantive changes, and annual reporting
- Serve as the SACSCO Liaison for the College
- Maintain up-to-date on all SACSCOC policies and changes to ensure compliance
- Manage all aspects of the College's federal Carl D Perkins budget, including the PLANAR and the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS)
- Coordinate and oversee the strategic planning process for the college
- Advise college administration and other staff on progress, problems, solutions, and desirable changes in relation to strategic planning
- Schedule and conduct meetings to present, explain, and discuss the strategic plan with individuals and groups
- Compile and distribute annual reports
- Establish time frames needed to complete projects according to federal, state, external agency, and department deadlines
- Analyze institutional and workforce data and reporting with regards to workforce needs relative to enrollment, program planning, and job placement
- Coordinate the institutional research needed to evaluate the college's effectiveness
- Benchmark and compare to other institutions
- Coordinate the application, acceptance, and implementation of grants
- Coordinate the College's survey development and implementation
- Coordinate the collection and reporting of program goals, outcomes, and objectives for quality assurance
- Analyze and assess the effectiveness of existing programs
- Prepare and update planning documents
- Review reports of independent project efforts to determine areas of weakness
- Recommend corrective actions and set deadlines
- Provide interpretations and guidance to college personnel to ensure compliance with state, regional, and federal regulations
- Collect, analyze, and organize data for input into planning and evaluation activities
- Provide evaluative services that ensure the ability to examine the effectiveness of academic programs and services
- Lead the update, approval, and implementation process for the College's Standard Operating Policies and Procedures
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Five (5) years of related work experience
- SACSCOC (or other higher education) accreditation experience
- Higher Education and Accreditation experience
- Supervisory Responsibility
- Has oversight over all positions within the department
