We are seeking a skilled Institutional Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at the State of Maine, Bureau of Human Resources. You will also be responsible for performing maintenance and repair of laundry, kitchen, and farm machinery and equipment, as well as general maintenance of the building and grounds. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems, including heating, power generating, water, and electrical systems.
  • Perform maintenance and repair of laundry, kitchen, and farm machinery and equipment.
  • Perform general maintenance of the building and grounds.
  • Work under general supervision, with occasional guidance from senior maintenance staff.

Requirements:

  • Two (2) years' experience in the general maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, mechanical systems, and buildings.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
