Position Overview:

This role is integral to the xEV Regional PE team focused on Electric Vehicle technologies, specifically targeting Inverter systems. The primary objective is to facilitate the establishment of equipment, processes, and quotations for Inverter-related programs. The candidate will specialize in the electrical and electronic functionality and testing across both low and high voltage domains. The overarching goal is to guarantee that production equipment adheres to specifications and delivers products that meet both product specifications and customer expectations, including ensuring the verification and qualification of equipment for mass production.

This position provides a unique opportunity to engage with diverse aspects of manufacturing processes and collaborate with various departments and management levels within the organization, both domestically and internationally. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that equipment specifications align with product requirements and regional standards.
  • Verifying that equipment installation meets all necessary specifications.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Conducting online testing to confirm that all product requirements are satisfied, including daily verification and validation.
  • Collaborating with other departments to set up testing trials and experiments for internal and customer-related issues, including necessary countermeasures.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, accompanied by a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Proficiency in engineering principles, including control systems, robotics, electronics, electrical testing systems, optical inspection, and programming.

Ability to make prompt, precise, data-driven decisions while employing strong problem-solving capabilities.

Exceptional oral and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.

Proficient in computer usage, including personal computers and manufacturing systems.

A commitment to uphold corporate culture with a strong emphasis on ethics and fairness.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the automotive sector, particularly in high-power electronics or electronic devices.

Familiarity with EV components such as inverters, power modules, or control modules.

Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, and related methodologies.

Experience in electronics manufacturing and adherence to IPC regulations.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Excellent communication skills for preparing and presenting information to various levels of associates, management, and customers, both verbally and in writing.

Capability to lead projects by securing support from multiple departments and organizations.

Software Proficiency:

  • Intermediate experience with Windows, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project) is preferred.
  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar) is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

Developing and assessing new Inverter product processes and equipment - 40%

Supporting the development of technology, resources, and production requirements - 30%

Evaluating new business opportunities - 20%

Addressing M/P equipment issues and formulating solutions - 5%

Performing additional duties as assigned to support corporate objectives - 5%

  • Requires approximately 25% travel, both domestic and international (may include short-term assignments abroad).
  • Open office environment.
