Job Summary:We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented individual to assist our drivers with loading and unloading household items, packaging materials, and other freight. The successful candidate will be responsible for wrapping, lifting, and carrying items safely and efficiently, as well as learning and implementing effective lifting and carrying techniques under the guidance of our Driver Team Leaders.
Responsibilities:- Assist drivers with loading and unloading freight, including wrapping and securing items for transport
- Carry and lift heavy items, using proper lifting techniques to prevent injury
- Learn and implement efficient and safe lifting and carrying methods under the direction of the Driver Team Leader
- Comprehend and follow basic directions from the Driver Team Leader
- Work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of productivity
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 pounds)
- Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to comprehend and follow basic directions
- Willingness to learn and implement new techniques and procedures
