About the Role

Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer I or III to join our team in Aiken, South Carolina. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for implementing solutions to complex engineering challenges and meeting the standards set by the Department of Energy (DOE) for the Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and develop conventional engineering and scientific solutions for technical problems or project objectives using SRMC engineering methodologies and requirements.
  • Assist more senior engineering personnel in performing related activities on more complex tasks.
  • Assume technical responsibility for one or more phases of a program and/or ownership for unit operations within processing facilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide innovative improvements to the existing processes.
  • Specific job responsibilities may involve project engineering support, facility engineering support, process flow sheet analysis and development, procurement requirements and specifications development, technical calculations and reviews, design reviews, safety analysis development, and commercial grade dedication.
Requirements
  • BS Degree in Engineering, applicable science or related engineering discipline from an accredited college or university with relevant professional engineering experience.
  • For Senior Engineer I positions, Bachelor's degree with minimum 4+ years of relevant professional engineering experience.
  • For Senior Engineer III positions, Bachelor's degree with minimum 6+ years of relevant professional engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of advanced engineering principles and practices to develop appropriate outputs.
  • Working knowledge of National Codes and Standards.
  • Ability to perform walkdowns.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a changing environment with multiple demands and priorities.
  • Good organizational and communication skills. Ability to express ideas concisely and clearly, both verbally and in writing.
About SRMC

Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC), a prime contractor for the US Department of Energy, is responsible for managing the Department of Energy's Savannah River Site's Liquid Waste operations contract. Located in Aiken, South Carolina, SRMC is a limited liability company formed by nuclear operations and environmental remediation global leaders BWXT, Amentum, and Fluor.
