Job Summary

Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN, Full-Time or Part-Time Availability

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily support to the unit leadership and respond appropriately to resident/family needs within the LPN scope of practice
  • Use nursing process, judgment, and skills to set priorities necessary to deliver quality direct resident care and make decisions promoting the safety and quality of direct care to residents
  • Perform and administer standard nursing treatments and/or medications and observe residents for desired or unwanted effects
  • Communicate and collaborate with appropriate members within the care team to revise/update the Nursing Care Plan or any pertinent findings, including lab/test results, incidents, and/or concerns
  • Monitor and document vitals, treatments administered, and residents' responses
  • Prepare, organize, oversee, monitor, and evaluate the delivery of care of resident CNA assignments and activities, considering the category of needs and competency of personnel

Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved school of Nursing
  • Licensed and currently registered in good standing in New York as an LPN
  • Dedicated to providing extraordinary, clinically sound, and compassionate care
  • Must possess a spirit of cooperation, caring, and enthusiasm to create an atmosphere conducive to rehabilitation and optimal resident health
  • Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and sometimes challenging residents
  • Have excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills
  • Work well under pressure and willing to work harmoniously with all staff
