About the LPN (Pre Operative) Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Waterview Hills Campus in Westchester County. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will provide daily support to the unit leadership and respond appropriately to resident and family needs within the LPN scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Use nursing process, judgment, and skills to set priorities necessary to deliver quality direct resident care and make decisions promoting the safety and quality of direct care to residents.
  • Perform and administer standard nursing treatments and/or medications and observe residents for desired or unwanted effects.
  • Communicate and collaborate with appropriate members within the care team to revise and update the Nursing Care Plan or any pertinent findings, including lab/test results, incidents, and/or concerns.
  • Monitor and document vitals, treatments administered, and residents' responses.
  • Prepare, organize, oversee, monitor, and evaluate the delivery of care of resident CNA assignments and activities, considering the category of needs and competency of personnel.

Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved school of Nursing.
  • Licensed and currently registered in good standing in New York as an LPN.
  • Dedicated to providing extraordinary, clinically sound, and compassionate care.
  • Must possess a spirit of cooperation, caring, and enthusiasm to create an atmosphere conducive to rehabilitation and optimal resident health.
  • Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and sometimes challenging residents.
  • Have excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills.
  • Work well under pressure and willing to work harmoniously with all staff.
