Position Overview

Role Responsibilities:

The Sanitation Operator II is responsible for executing cleaning and sanitization tasks efficiently and safely. This role requires independence in the disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of machinery, as well as thorough inspections post-cleaning to ensure compliance with hygiene standards.

Key duties include:

  • Disassembling packaging equipment for thorough cleaning and disinfection.
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Taking appropriate actions to address unsafe practices or conditions.
  • Conducting daily equipment swabs to monitor cleanliness.
  • Reassembling cleaned equipment and preparing it for production to ensure operational readiness.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace in accordance with housekeeping and GMP standards.
  • Collaborating with team members to facilitate efficient workflow.
  • Communicating effectively with line workers, supervisors, and management.
  • Performing assigned sanitation tasks as directed by the sanitation lead or supervisor.
  • Reporting any issues or concerns to supervisory staff.
  • Participating in departmental meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates will possess:

Education:

High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not mandatory.

Experience:

No prior experience is necessary; however, familiarity with general cleaning and chemical handling is advantageous.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Understanding of cleaning methodologies and procedures.
  • Commitment to regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Awareness of workplace safety protocols and practices.
