Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School-Based Team Lead to join our team at Health Care and Rehabilitation Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and supervision to direct service staff, ensuring the coordination and delivery of services to a designated program and caseload of clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage staffing needs of the program, including coverage for staff who are sick or unable to work, approving timecards, and time off requests.
  • Support the Therapeutic Activities Coordinator in the management of summer camp.
  • Coordinate services at intake, discharge, and throughout the program for students referred into the Success Beyond Six program.
  • Facilitate and monitor the client's individualized plan of care.
  • Coordinate and facilitate group supervision with the support of the BCBA.
  • Attend weekly supervision meetings with the Area Manager.
  • Communicate regularly with schools regarding work performance issues with the support of the BCBA and Area Manager.
  • Attend school meetings as needed and available with the support of the BCBA and Area Manager.
  • Provide training, onboarding support, and mentoring to BIs as needed with the support of the BCBA and Area Manager.
  • Provide BI coverage to schools as needed.
  • Coordinate appropriate services for the client consistent with the client's individual plan of care.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding living with mental health challenges, emphasizing increased self-esteem, self-determination, and independence.
  • Complete accurate, timely, and high-quality documentation of all services provided.
  • Maintain appropriate communication with other members of the client's treatment team to ensure coordination of care to support positive, person-centered treatment outcomes.
  • Interview, select, train, and supervise direct care staff working with clients with the support of the Area Manager.

Relationships
  • Reports to the Area Manager.
  • Supervises Behavior Interventionist.
  • Coordinates with other supervisors, treatment team members both inside and outside the agency, with the consumer's guardian, and identified support system.
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with all community partners and agency stakeholders as a key representative of the agency.
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field (strongly preferred) and 3 years of experience in the provision of services to children or adults with mental health challenges or developmental disabilities. Previous leadership and teaching/training experience preferred but not required.

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to listen effectively. Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical procedure manuals or government regulations. Ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, guardians, treatment providers, employers, outside agency personnel, and the general public. Ability to communicate effectively for training.

Understanding of statistical issues related to research, data collection, and data reporting.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

A valid driver's license and/or the capacity to travel regularly from office to office, or to businesses. May be required to transport consumers.

Ability to work flexible hours.
