Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing facility in the Hogansville, Georgia area. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the facility, including production, shipping and receiving, maintenance, and employee development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational team to ensure efficient and effective operation of the facility
  • Develop and implement safety and quality cultures
  • Drive continuous improvement through lean manufacturing techniques
  • Establish and manage budgets to improve financial performance
  • Ensure integrity of ERP system data and manage company assets
  • Oversee staffing, training, and employee development
  • Communicate and support adherence to corporate policies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical or business-related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in production or manufacturing environment
  • Background in lumber remanufacturing, woodworking, or similar field preferred
  • Working knowledge of lean six sigma methodologies and experience in leading change
  • Analytical thinker with strong data gathering and analysis skills
  • Energetic, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Excellent communicator and understanding of importance of 'doing what you say'
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and methods of scheduling, inventory, and shipping
  • Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office suite

Work Environment and Attributes

Lumber remanufacturing facility with cutting and assembly equipment. Indoor office area with outdoor production and lumber yard management. Hearing protection, eyewear, and steel-toed shoes required. Initial travel expected, including participation in training and possible customer visits.
