Maintenance Technician II

About the Role:

UniFirst is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and installing industrial equipment, systems, and components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot equipment problems using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Assist other maintenance personnel with emergency and non-emergency repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and associated control systems.
  • Perform daily and weekly safety checks on boilers and make necessary repairs.
  • Inspect and maintain motor, belts, fluid levels, and other equipment parts.
  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two-year technical degree in an appropriate field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment required.
  • Knowledgeable in industrial maintenance of facilities and equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics required.
  • Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills required.
  • Lockout / Tagout experience required.
