Key Responsibilities- Maintenance and repair of electronic systems on Navy ships
- Reading and utilizing test procedures and work documents
- Using extensive electrical meters and test instruments, including voltohm meters, clampon ammeters, insulation resistance testers, phase rotation testers, meggers, etc.
- Verifying circuit continuity using applicable drawings, meters, and test equipment
- Testing and inspecting low, medium, and high-voltage cable installations
- Troubleshooting electrical performance deficiencies
- Reading schematics and determining the cause of faults in the system drawings and components
- 25+ years of experience in the electrical field, with a focus on industrial, marine, or commercial nuclear applications
- Extensive understanding of nuclear plant machinery and auxiliary equipment that supports naval reactors
- Proficient in the use of extensive electrician hand tools, including pliers, wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, connector crimping tools, etc.
- Physically able to climb vertical and inclined stairs and ladders, crawl, bend, stoop, work at heights, and work in confined spaces
- Able to obtain a Secret/Confidential clearance
