About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pump Mechanic to join our team at DXP Enterprises. As a Pump Mechanic, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial pumping systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to identify mechanical issues and implement repairs.
  • Utilize precision tools, such as micrometers and dial indicators, to measure and adjust mechanical components.
  • Operate various mechanical tools, including presses, torches, and pullers, to perform repairs and maintenance.
  • Align pumps and motors to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Rebuild mechanical seals to prevent leaks and ensure system integrity.
Qualifications
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have at least 4 years of experience in a related field, preferably in industrial pumping systems.
  • Possess a working knowledge of fits and clearances, as well as the ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
  • Be proficient in writing inspection reports and maintaining accurate records.
  • Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, as required by company guidelines.
Physical Demands

The successful candidate will be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
