We are seeking a skilled Pump Mechanic to join our team at DXP Enterprises. As a Pump Mechanic, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial pumping systems.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to identify mechanical issues and implement repairs.
- Utilize precision tools, such as micrometers and dial indicators, to measure and adjust mechanical components.
- Operate various mechanical tools, including presses, torches, and pullers, to perform repairs and maintenance.
- Align pumps and motors to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Rebuild mechanical seals to prevent leaks and ensure system integrity.
- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Have at least 4 years of experience in a related field, preferably in industrial pumping systems.
- Possess a working knowledge of fits and clearances, as well as the ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
- Be proficient in writing inspection reports and maintaining accurate records.
- Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, as required by company guidelines.
The successful candidate will be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
