About the Role:

Mallard Creek Polymers is in search of a skilled Senior Applications Chemist to enhance our team.

Your Responsibilities:

As a Senior Applications Chemist, you will:
  • Leverage extensive technical expertise in specific product lines and industry testing methodologies to drive sales of MCP products, collaborating with external testing organizations.
  • Focus on the development and evaluation of MCP products within customer formulations, conducting hands-on laboratory work to showcase product value.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations, maintaining expertise in customer application testing, and contributing to business growth through presentations at industry events and training sessions.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to generate market demand for our offerings.
  • Provide on-site support to customers when detailed product assistance is required.
  • Formulate justifications for new product development to align with customer requirements, necessitating regular collaboration with synthesis and production teams.
  • Engage in consistent communication with customers and internal teams to ensure alignment and support.
  • Prioritize safety for yourself and your colleagues.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess:
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • The ability to identify research and development opportunities through market and customer engagement.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with MS Windows and Office Suite, and the ability to operate computer-controlled laboratory equipment.

Educational Background and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Material Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required, with 10 years being ideal; experience in concrete admixtures and testing protocols is advantageous.
