About the Role

Hartford HealthCare (HHC) is seeking a skilled Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner APRN to join our team in Bridgeport, CT.

This is a full-time salaried position with a competitive salary of $120,000-$150,000 per year, plus benefits. The successful candidate will have experience in cardiovascular surgery and/or critical care settings, with excellent first assisting skills and endoscopic vein harvesting experience preferred.

Job Description

The selected individual will work under the direction of a cardiothoracic surgeon, performing a variety of duties including first assisting cardiovascular surgical procedures, endoscopic vessel harvesting, preoperative history and physical examination, postoperative care in an outpatient clinical setting, and patient education.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner APRN will support patient care from admission to discharge in service, Step-Down, and ICU, managing multiple patients with varied critical illness, conducting comprehensive physical assessments, interpreting diagnostic results, hemodynamic/ventilator management, and invasive procedures.
