Job Summary:

Catalent is a global leader in the development and manufacturing of pharmaceutical products. We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer I to join our team in San Diego, CA. As a Process Engineer I, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute basic setup, operation, troubleshooting, breakdown, and cleaning of designated small scale and pilot scale pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment under limited supervision.
• Participate in the technology transfer process to the manufacturing group and may participate in the batch record review process to identify risks.
• Complete projects and demonstration batches, evaluating the formulation, equipment set points, and process procedures with supervision.
• Develop and maintain a strong foundation of theoretical knowledge regarding scientific and engineering principles required for solid oral drug formulation and scale-up.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Engineering (B.S. or B.E.) degree required, Chemical or Mechanical focus preferred.
• No experience with solid-oral equipment or formulation techniques is required, but high preference for 2+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree.
• Must have strong presentation ability with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Continuous development of pharmaceutical process knowledge is required.
