About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Process Engineer to join our team at General Atomics and Affiliated Companies. As a key member of our engineering staff, you will be responsible for analyzing, investigating, and resolving engineering problems of moderate scope and complexity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent the organization as a technical expert in Mechanical Processes Engineering.
  • Apply technical knowledge to analyze, investigate, and resolve assigned Mechanical/Process Engineering problems.
  • Perform functional testing and troubleshooting of equipment and systems in assigned area(s) by utilizing standard engineering and scientific principles.
  • Obtain and analyze test data.
  • Develop presentations and reports findings and implemented solutions in Management Reviews.
  • May provide direction to design and/or production staff.
  • Ensure technical competency and contractual compliance with government and industry standards including ISO9001 & NAP401 Standards.
  • Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; four or more years of experience with a bachelors degree or two or more years of experience with a masters degree.
  • Must have a general understanding of Mechanical and Process Engineering concepts, principles, and theory with technical experience demonstrating the application of those concepts while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment and organize work assignments to meet established timetables.
  • Good communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary range of $81,080 - $141,650.
  • Relocation assistance provided.
  • US Citizenship is required for certain positions.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOE Class Q clearance.
