Zachry Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Stress Engineer II to join our team. As a Stress Engineer II, you will be responsible for analyzing and designing piping systems to ensure they meet the required safety and performance standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct stress analysis on piping systems to identify potential issues and recommend solutions.
  • Collaborate with piping designers to optimize pipe routing and specify required pipe supports.
  • Develop and implement stress evaluation reports to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Perform field surveys to collect data and assist with interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project success.
  • Manage project schedules and budgets, and provide weekly reports on project status and issues.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a strong understanding of stress analysis and system flexibility.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform detailed technical evaluations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from others.
  • Willingness to travel and work in office and field environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • EIT (Registered Engineer in Training) certification.
  • Field plant experience.
  • Experience in the petrochemical, oil/gas, chemical, and/or power industry.
  • Previous experience with stress analysis or stress analysis concepts.
Work Environment:

The employee will work in an office environment and may be required to visit client plant facilities in the field. The job site may contain light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment and tools, people standing, walking, sitting, signaling, and talking. Noise levels may vary and may include bells, whistles, and alarms.
