Responsibilities:
  • Provide direction and support for patient safety, quality improvement, and learning systems for safety culture and high reliability.
  • Design, measure, and monitor patient safety process improvement activities.
  • Collaborate with local leaders to identify safety initiatives and facilitate the use of data to improve processes.
  • Lead performance improvement teams on local projects with a focus on reliability, regulatory compliance, and sustainability of evidence-based practices.
  • Facilitate participation in patient safety performance improvement utilizing lean tools and techniques, PDSA, change management approaches, and human factor re-engineering.
  • Ensure the timely submission of accurate data to comparative databases to accomplish effective benchmarking and meet regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Florida.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based best practices and improvement strategies for reducing patient harm.
  • Ability to apply statistical methods and tools, establish internal benchmarks, and report significant findings to key hospital and region stakeholders.
  • Advanced knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, Excel, PowerPoint, and database programs.
  • Motivational and team building skills.
