About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Quality Control Intern to join our team at CalPortland. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in quality control processes and concrete material testing in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior team members on lab and field testing of concrete and aggregates.
  • Participate in trial batching processes, including material preparation and testing.
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness and ensure inventory control for lab supplies and materials.
  • Assist in preparing project submittals and entering data into systems like Stonemont.
  • Conduct basic aggregate and concrete testing.
  • Help maintain and calibrate laboratory and field equipment.
  • Attend pre-job meetings to learn about quality-related challenges.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of concrete and aggregate testing or coursework in a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
