Finance Systems Manager at NBCUniversal

The Finance Systems Manager position at NBCUniversal offers an opportunity to join the finance systems team during a pivotal phase as they undertake a significant subledger transition initiative. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in various accounting and finance projects aimed at addressing current operational challenges through system analysis and collaboration with diverse internal business stakeholders. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who enjoys problem-solving, data analysis, and proposing strategic enhancements to operational processes. Additionally, the Finance Systems Manager will collaborate closely with the IT support team to ensure effective communication and a positive experience for all system users regarding ongoing support requests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Become the primary finance support expert for all Global TVD Financial systems (GTM, SAFE, CAFÉ, ARMR, MicroStrategy, JIRA, and SAP). Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with all technology system leaders.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Revenue Assurance, and Controllership teams to gain insights into Global TVD end-to-end processes for all deal types.
  • Offer solutions for existing issues during the transition period of the current system, minimizing enhancements before migrating to the new target system.
  • Assist the finance team by managing data updates across various systems, including foreign currency rate uploads and content title management.
  • Participate as a team member in the project, aiding in exploration, requirements gathering, reconciliation/data conversion, and testing phases of the future Order to Cash system implementation.
  • Support the project team with strategies for data migration.
  • Continuously document challenging issues throughout the current ticketing process to inform future testing scenarios.
  • Engage in special projects as required.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years focused on Accounting and/or Finance.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel is essential.
  • At least 2 years of experience in revenue recognition accounting.
