Job Description

As an Educational Diagnostician with ProCare Therapy, you will play a crucial role in assessing and supporting students with specific learning disabilities, developmental delays, and academic challenges. You will work closely with the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) team to develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and ensure that all students receive the support they need to succeed academically.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Administer comprehensive evaluations to assess students with learning disabilities, developmental delays, and academic challenges.
  • Collaborative IEP Development: Work closely with the MTSS team, teachers, parents, and administrators to create and implement IEP goals and interventions tailored to each student's needs.
  • ARD Participation: Actively participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, contributing to discussions and decision-making processes regarding student eligibility and service planning.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze test results, student progress, and academic performance data to identify trends and inform instructional strategies.
  • Consultation and Support: Provide guidance to teachers and staff on how to effectively implement IEP goals, accommodations, and interventions.
  • Collaboration with School Psychologist: Work alongside the school psychologist to assess behavioral, cognitive, and academic performance, contributing to a holistic understanding of students' needs.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Educational Diagnostician, Special Education, or a related field.
  • Texas Educational Diagnostician certification.
  • 2+ years of experience working as an Educational Diagnostician in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and diagnostic assessment tools.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families.
