About the Role

At Soliant, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our dynamic team in Arlington, TX. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of diverse learning needs and be committed to creating an inclusive and supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Instruction and Support:
    • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student, ensuring they receive tailored instruction and support.
    • Create engaging, differentiated instructional activities that accommodate diverse learning styles, fostering a love for learning among students.
    • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods and materials as needed to ensure students meet their academic goals.
  • Classroom Management:
    • Create and maintain a positive, safe, and respectful classroom environment that promotes social-emotional growth and academic achievement.
    • Employ behavioral management strategies to address and resolve issues that may impact student learning, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and administrators to ensure a cohesive educational experience for students, promoting a collaborative approach to education.
    • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, needs, and any concerns, ensuring open communication and transparency.
  • Professional Development:
    • Stay current with best practices in special education and incorporate new strategies into teaching, ensuring students receive the highest quality education.

Requirements:

  • Education and Certification:
    • Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
    • Valid Texas Special Education Certification (Teacher of Students with Disabilities or equivalent).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in special education (preferred but not required).
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of each student.

Estimated Salary Range: $65,000 - $90,000 per year
