Nursing Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care in a safe and effective manner.
Responsibilities- Provide data collection and care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
- Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to maintain constant direct observation and visualization of identified patient(s).
- Provide activities of daily living to patients, including patient hygiene, ambulation, and toileting needs.
- Take vital signs and respond to patient call lights in a timely manner.
- One year of acute care experience or consideration for staff with strong education and associated experiential background.
- Current AHA Provider Basic Life Support certification.
- Current Nursing Assistant Certificate or currently enrolled Nursing Student who has successfully completed the first semester of an RN Program (ADN or BSN).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload and establish effective working relationships across the Health System.
- Current enrollment in a BSN program.
- Medical Terminology knowledge.
- Background Check and Live Scan.
- Legal Right to Work in the United States.
- Vaccination Policies.
- Smoking and Tobacco Policy.
- Drug Free Environment.
