Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team at SSM Health Monroe Clinic Hospital. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on facilities, equipment, and associated systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs according to work orders or verbal instructions and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Identify and request necessary parts and components for task completion.
  • Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and factory representatives for equipment repair and replacement.
  • Assist contractors and personnel with water and fire system connections and shut-offs.
  • Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs, including changing light bulbs and installing fixtures.
  • Conduct carpentry and minor construction projects, such as drywall installation and flooring repair.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by removing debris, lifting heavy materials, and sweeping floors.
Requirements
  • Two years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a constant state of alertness.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, lifting, and bending.
Working Conditions

This role requires frequent standing and walking, as well as occasional lifting and bending. The ability to work in a variety of environments, including construction sites and patient care areas, is essential.
