Maintenance Engineer II

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer II to join our team at Strivector. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing and implementing equipment, processes, and standards for both maintenance and production.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and assess new equipment, tools, and processes for compatibility with current systems.
- Manage multiple projects within the maintenance organization, including planned outages, major maintenance, shutdowns, and miscellaneous projects.
- Design and develop KCC (control standards) for improvements in efficiency, reliability, quality, and safety.
- Lead troubleshooting events and manage completion of repairs.
- Conduct audits, benchmarking studies, and research within external machine shops, rebuild shops, and OEMs for continuous improvement.
- Manage the Preventive Maintenance (PM) process, including creation of new PMs, evaluation of existing PMs, and ensuring thorough completion of PMs in designated timeframes.
- Provide technical support for various processes, including plasma arc melting (PAM) and vacuum arc remelting (VAR).
- Develop and maintain technical expertise in melting processes of Ti (Std/HCN/Eli) base superalloys.
- Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance personnel to develop improvements to manufacturing processes and standards that enhance safety, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Plan, execute, and manage product/process continuous improvement programs that support several value streams using the Plan-Do-Check-Act approach.
- Lead or participate in team-based continuous improvement activities, including risk assessments, problem-solving reports, process audits, and standard work.
- Support internal/external customers by analyzing process data, chemistry data, and non-destructive testing data.
- Coordinate with Product Engineering and R&D in the development, evaluation, and standardization of new products and processes.
- Direct product line responsibility as opportunities arise, including ingot finished goods.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field, or 4 years of Mechanical Design experience.
- 3 years of Mechanical Design experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Continuous improvement and lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Six Sigma Black/Green Belt or related certification.
- Statistical data analysis using JMP, Mini-Tab, or related software.
- AutoCAD or SolidWorks experience.
- PLC troubleshooting skills.
- Maximo or other CMMS experience.
