About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our team at US Foods, Inc. As a Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Complete documentation of all repair orders and maintain accurate records.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance shop personnel to ensure efficient workflow.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as a heavy duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic.
  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs.
  • Ability to read and understand technical and service manuals.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
