Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Recovery Room/PACU department at HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood. As a key member of our patient care team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from surgery, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Care for and manage the surgical patient in the post-anesthesia period, providing individualized care to meet their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, ensuring seamless care transitions and addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices, new technologies, and evidence-based care.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety, quality, and excellence, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • At least one year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in a Recovery Room/PACU setting, with a strong foundation in critical care and patient assessment.
  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License, with the ability to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with the ability to obtain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of hire date.
