Job Title: Registered Nurse - PRN - Labor and Delivery

HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team on a PRN basis. As a key member of our healthcare family, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

About the Role:

The Registered Nurse - PRN - Labor and Delivery will be responsible for coordinating the nursing care of assigned patients in the Unit, providing quality patient care to patients in applicable age-specific populations. You will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring that each patient receives individualized attention and support.

Responsibilities:
  • Collects and analyzes data to identify expected outcomes for patients
  • Develops and prioritizes the plan of care to attain measurable goals
  • Implements interventions and evaluates results, particularly for Critical Care patients
  • Identifies educational needs and implements patient/family education
  • Demonstrates critical thought and judgment in the delivery of care related to Critical Care patients
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing required or currently enrolled
  • AWHONN Fetal Monitoring course within 90 days of hire date
