Position Overview:

As a key member of the Humana team, the Medical Cost Management Strategy Advancement Advisor will play a pivotal role in shaping the Operating Model for strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing long-term value and optimizing healthcare costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and oversight of strategic programs, collaborating with essential stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.
  • Design and oversee an Operational Plan framework for long-term trend initiatives, ensuring transparency and regular updates to leadership.
  • Initiate and manage pilot programs that establish accountability for critical components of trend performance, enhancing overall cost optimization strategies.
  • Facilitate Medical Cost Management Strategy Development and Oversight meetings, including key summits and goal-setting sessions.
  • Coordinate with enterprise partners across various functions to ensure alignment and resource availability for strategic initiatives.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to influence senior leadership decision-making and align initiatives with organizational objectives.
  • Foster communication and collaboration among stakeholders at all levels to ensure transparency and manage expectations effectively.
  • Support executive communications by delivering comprehensive insights to stakeholders in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in strategy execution and operational transformation.
  • Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and deliver impactful presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to enhance collaboration within a diverse team environment.
  • Self-driven with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience in various trends related to healthcare, including Employer Group, Clinical, Pharmacy, and Retail.
