This Culinary Leader position is with HHS Culinary and Nutrition Solutions, LLC.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional culinary expertise, exhibit a creative approach, demonstrate outstanding organizational abilities, and have the capacity to manage supply and food orders with precision and meticulous attention to detail. Under the guidance of the Culinary Director, you will effectively assist in leading a kitchen team by instilling confidence, educating, and motivating them to consistently deliver outstanding service, focusing on local, sustainable, seasonal, and organic ingredients.

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A solid understanding of and ability to demonstrate the fundamentals of cooking (e.g., mother sauces, seasonal product knowledge, etc.)
  • Proven capability to utilize culinary skills in crafting menus that cater to dietary requirements and current culinary trends.
  • The ability to navigate and lead through ongoing changes.
Culinary Leader / Production Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a well-trained and motivated team that produces high-quality food while adhering to safety, sanitation, and service standards.
  • Provide leadership that fosters a team environment, promoting morale, passion, quality, and respect.
  • Develop innovative menus that align with current market trends.
  • Continuously maintain and/or enhance customer and patient satisfaction.
  • Lead and manage team member recruitment, training, development, scheduling, and assignments.
  • Implement, maintain, and monitor quality control systems to safeguard food integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and industry regulatory standards.
  • Oversee forecasting, recipe costing, inventory management, ordering, production planning, scheduling, payroll, and supplies to ensure budget adherence.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree from an accredited culinary program plus 5+ years of experience as a sous or executive chef in fine dining, hotels/resorts, country clubs, or healthcare/senior living.
  • Proficient in computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and ordering platforms.
  • A passion for food, a desire for growth, and a strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to relocate for promotional opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in languages other than English, particularly Spanish.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, The Joint Commission, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of HACCP procedures.
