Sterile Processing Specialist

At St. Charles Health System, we are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our operating rooms.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and assemble case carts for surgeries
- Clean, decontaminate, and sterilize instruments and supplies
- Operate various sterilization equipment
- Restock department inventory and ensure instruments are stored properly
- Clean and maintain department equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification or SPD Technician certification within 18 months of hire
- Experience in sterile processing, health care materials management, operating room, and/or patient care
This position requires standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods. You must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and work in a fast-paced environment.
