Position Overview
The Safety Operations Manager for Events will oversee the San Francisco region within the Event Safety Division of Joffe Emergency Services.
This role serves as the main point of contact for the San Francisco market and encompasses the following responsibilities:
- Build and nurture relationships with local venues and organizations within the event sector.
- Fulfill assigned EMT special event shifts as needed.
- Coordinate event scheduling, communication, and logistics for all activities in the market.
- Manage and maintain all equipment and supplies relevant to the market.
- Generate and provide leads to the Event Safety sales team.
Under the guidance of the National Director, oversee all subordinate personnel in the San Francisco market, including training, employee engagement, and necessary disciplinary actions.
Responsibilities also include:
- Ownership of medical documentation.
- Reporting incidents.
- Developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for specific events and venues.
- Overseeing billing processes.
- Approving payroll.
Candidates interested in this position should possess the following qualifications:
- 2-3 years of managerial experience in event safety services at a recognized venue, with a proven track record of successfully integrating services with facility and public safety teams.
- Flexibility in scheduling is essential; the position often requires working nights, weekends, and holidays, with event shifts potentially developing on short notice.
- Strong administrative capabilities, with a preference for knowledge in scheduling and incident documentation.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, as this role necessitates acting as the primary point of contact for clients in the San Francisco market.
EMT certification is required.
