KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the receipt, processing, packaging, and distribution of blood products and samples for hospital orders.
  • Prioritize orders based on urgency, ensuring the careful selection and packaging of life-saving blood products with appropriate temperature control for safe transport.
  • Maintain effective communication with hospital clients, volunteers, and vendors, while ensuring accurate product records for traceability.
  • Provide support, training, and leadership guidance to volunteers, and assume operational supervisory duties as required.
  • Implement sound inventory management practices throughout the manufacturing and shipping processes, prioritizing workloads to meet production and customer needs.
  • Conduct data entry related to manufacturing, labeling, storage, ordering, and shipping, ensuring accurate physical and electronic records.
  • Analyze visual inspections and information from other departments to meet time-sensitive requirements and quality standards.
  • Identify and isolate products or samples that do not meet quality standards, managing the disposition of non-compliant items.
  • May be required to make hospital deliveries as assigned.
  • Participate in staff training and assume supervisory responsibilities when designated by a supervisor. On-call duties may be necessary.

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday, 2nd shift (3 PM - 11:30 PM)

COMPENSATION: Competitive salary plus shift differential.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of four years' experience in a regulatory, distribution, or manufacturing environment is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong computer skills, attention to detail, accurate documentation, and effective decision-making abilities.
  • A valid driver's license may be required.
