Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our team at the Kennedy Krieger Institute. As a key member of our Department of Neuropsychology, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychodiagnostic assessments and treatment services to clients served by our department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Select, administer, and score psychological tests to assess intellectual functioning, neuropsychological status, personality structure, interest, aptitudes, and academic achievement.
  • Test Interpretation: Interpret test findings based upon current research in psychological assessment and available evidence-based approaches.
  • Report Writing: Write comprehensive reports regarding diagnostic interpretations and next step management/strategy plans.
  • Collaboration: Participate in weekly case conferences to discuss and evaluate the diagnoses and treatment/management of patients and formulate rehabilitation plans.
  • Communication: Provide interpretative information to parents and/or primary caregivers (including teachers, therapists); may provide short-term counseling to parents for effecting changes in child management.
  • Intake Interviews: Conduct intake interviews to ascertain the needs of clients and document the results of this interview.
  • Initiative Development: Assist the Department Director and Clinical Director in the development of clinical initiatives.
  • Documentation: Enter reports into the KKI Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Productivity: Maintain productivity standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain documentation and reporting standards.
Qualifications
  • Licensure: Licensure in Maryland as a psychologist is required.
  • Education: Doctoral degree in Psychology from an APA/CPA-accredited college or university is required. Completion of APA/CPA-accredited pre-doctoral internship is required. Postdoctoral fellowship is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in working with a population of children with intellectual/developmental disabilities. This experience may be satisfied through postdoctoral training in psychology.
